The Tripurā Rahasya is one of the most revered scriptures of the Śrīvidyā tradition, bringing together profound philosophy, sacred stories, and practical teachings for the spiritual aspirant. While its philosophical sections have long attracted the attention of scholars and practitioners alike, the devotional hymns contained within the Māhātmyakhaṇḍa have never before been collected and published together as a single dedicated volume.
This publication has been prepared to fill that gap.
For the first time, all twenty-three stotras found in the Māhātmyakhaṇḍa have been assembled into a single collection, making them readily accessible for daily recitation, study, contemplation, and worship. It is our hope that this work will serve as a practical companion for Śrīvidyā practitioners and devotees of the Divine Mother.
The hymns contained in this collection encompass the principal manifestations of the Supreme Goddess worshipped within the Śrīvidyā tradition. They include praises to Śrī Tripurā, Śrī Bālā Tripurasundarī, Śrī Lalitā, Śrī Lakṣmī, Śrī Gaurī, Śrī Sarasvatī, Śrī Durgā and Śrī Kālī. Together, these hymns present a rich devotional tapestry that celebrates the many aspects of the one Supreme Śakti.
The source text for this publication is Śrī Tripurā Rahasya (Māhātmyakhaṇḍa) by T. B. Lakshmana Rao, published in 2011. We gratefully acknowledge the tremendous effort that went into preserving and publishing this important work. Readers are strongly encouraged to obtain a copy of the original publication, as it contains the complete text of the Māhātmyakhaṇḍa and provides the full narrative, scriptural context, and many additional teachings that extend far beyond the scope of this collection.
May these hymns inspire devotion, deepen contemplation, and invoke the boundless grace of the Supreme Mother who is praised through these many glorious names and forms.
