Cidvilāsastava: Verse Ten

In the tenth verse of his Cidvilāsastava (‘Hymn to the Play of Consciousness’), Amṛtānanda teaches about how the āsana (seat) of the practitioner is to be envisioned as follows:

ā¤¯ā¤¤āĨā¤° ā¤¨ā¤ŋā¤°āĨā¤ĩā¤ŋā¤ˇā¤¯ā¤ŦāĨ‹ā¤§ā¤˛ā¤•āĨā¤ˇā¤Ŗā¤ƒ ā¤¸āĨā¤ĩā¤žā¤¤āĨā¤Žā¤ļā¤ŽāĨā¤­āĨā¤°ā¤ĩā¤¤ā¤ŋā¤ˇāĨā¤ ā¤¤āĨ‡ ā¤Ŋā¤¨ā¤ŋā¤ļā¤ŽāĨ āĨ¤

yatra nirviášŖayabodhalakášŖaṇaá¸Ĩ svātmaśambhur avatiášŖáš­hate ‘niśam |
tattvajālakam idaᚃ śivāvadhi kášŖamāmukhaᚃ sakalam āsanaᚃ matam || 10 ||

“The “seat” of the practitioner should be understood as that entire collection of reality levels, from earth to Śiva, upon which the deity of the innate Self whose nature is pure awareness is ever established.” (translation by Ben Williams)
